A generation of challengers

Indigo children are amazing kids. I am not sure they like to be called this way but they have characteristics that cannot be ignored. They need special care and their parents need to work hard at understanding them and caring for their needs, lest they will be going through a very difficult experience.

What is it about them?

Indigo children are pioneers in the art of living Truth. This means that from a very young age, they will have cringed away from people who do not walk the talk. Unfortunately for them, they are likely to meet people like this from a very young age. And because of their firy nature, they will have reacted to them badly by either refusing to engage with them or by telling them what they think about them. Chose your options as parents: either one can be ver embarrassing and difficult to manage.

Indigo children do not grow up well in families where:

  • It's do as I say not as I do
  • I know better than you because I am older
  • You must do this because I say so

They will endlessly ask you for an explanation until you give in.

A typical indigo child might ignore the head master and be very friendly with the janitor, because the latter might be more honest and truthful. Suits, titles, honours and age do not matter. How refreshing!

How to best raise them?

Be truthful. Be honest. Never pretend. If you don't want to explain something: just say so. Show respect to get some respect. Never talk over their heads.

Be prepared to listen to their questions and cries for help as they struggle in the educational system. Give them plenty of encouragement. Teach them how to manage their anger and frustration in a constructive manner. Be open and learn listening skills.

Teach them about energy, auras, guides and angels and the power of the mind and thoughts. Sign them up for a reiki workshop as soon as you can.

Make sure they get enough sleep and eat healthily. Avoid junk food, avoid processed meals. Reduce the amount of meat that they eat. Give them omega 3 supplements but even better make them eat oily fish. Avoid additives in food. Get them plenty of vegetables, fruits and nuts. Teach them about nutrition and if you don't know anything, start learning yourself. Encourage them to spend time in nature and outdoors.
