I have organised all the books in the library according to a coding of my own. I wish to explain a little about it so that when you come you are not too lost. It took me weeks to create a system of filing that would allow me and my members to find books very quickly. I think I have achieved this.

In the Library itself, you will find printed catalogues that are sorted by authors, by title and by location to make it easier for you to chose books. Although you can choose them from the comfort of your home with our electronic catalogue.

Categories

I have created about fifty different categories to sort out the books in the LOL Library. They are the following: angels, astrology, biography, chakras, child psychology, children, coaching, communication, complementary medicine, cooking, creativity, crystals, culture, death, dreams and symbols, education, esoteric, feng shui, gay and lesbian, ghosts, healing, health, law, litterature, mediumship, memoirs, mind body, mythology, native american, nutrition and weight, paganism, parenting, personal development, philosophy, poetry, popular psychology, pregnancy, psychic development, psychology, reference, reincarnation, relationships, religion, sexuality, special needs, spiritual development, start a business, stories, trauma and writing.

Codes

Each category has a code. For example, angels would be ANG. Then all the books in the angel section will go like this: ANG001, ANG002, ANG003, etc. If you have found a book in our catalogues that you want to browse, all you need to do is check the code next to it and this will naturally lead you to the right shelf in the library as the books' code are organised alphabetically.

When browsing the catalogue, there is a column that states "location". Each bookcase has been numbered (from 1 to 5) and each shelve has a number starting with one at the top. So a book that is located on the first shelve of the second bookcase would be numbered 2.1 in the location column. Books that are in more than one copy carry the same code but with an added number at the end -1, -2.

The code is written on the side of the book so you know where to put a book back when you browse.
