For a long time, I wasn't too sure about angels. I liked the concept but it felt remote, more like a wish than a reality. Then I read a book that explained that there is angels for nearly anything. It made me think and I tried a little experiment. It worked. So little by little, I started working with them more and more. Then I started seeing angel feathers everywhere I went. Now they are an integral part of my life. I couldn't envisage life without them. They are only just a thought away.
Do you need to believe in them?
The answer is no. Whether you believe in them or not, angels are here and they dedicate their existence to serving God and us. At birth you are assigned an angel, your guardian angel, who is in charge of looking after you and comforting you in times of hardship. It doesn't matter if you consider yourself a bad person. Angels like a challenge sometimes but also they see you very differently from the way you or others see yourself.
Your guardian angel, however, cannot do anything to help you unless asked. That's the trick. Because you have free will, he or she cannot interfere unless you or someone else asks. I talk a lot to other people's angels and I am never disappointed. It usually eases things and paves the way for an easier relationship. Sometimes it triggers such radical changes in the person's behaviour that you can truly call it a miracle.
But isn't there more important things they have to do
They commit to looking after one or more humans as part of their own spiritual progression. Asking for their help and guidance is actually part of their job. If you don't ask, they don't get to do what it is they are supposed to do and they don't earn points. There is nothing too little that they can't help with. Although it sounds fickle, at one point I used to ask for parking spaces. I was then a full time working Mum with two small children and no relatives or friends to help so parking was a big issue as I was very often rushed. I was never disappointed... this lead me to trust angels more and more and now I ask for guidance and help all the time, for me and everyone around me.
What is the difference between angels and guides
You could say that angels are probably more evolved and usually they have not lived lives on earth. Guides, on the other hand, have been humans and have evolved sufficiently to be able to take on the role of guiding other humans as part of their spiritual paths. They might or might not be finished with their own reincarnation cycles. Some guides are more evolved than others just like some humans are more evolved than others.
You can have one guide or more. They are like friends who come and go when you no longer need them. But you only have one guardian angel and she is here for life. You have a contract with her from birth.
Angel healing
Once you start connecting with your angels, you can ask them to heal certain situations for you or help you understand what can be done to help a situation. Then watch for signs. Signs are those subtle clues, that sometimes people call coincidences, that indicate a direction. It could be that you hear a programme on the radio that gives you the answer to your problem, or you might overear a conversation at the hairdresser or in the bus or even a friend of yours might come up with something unusual. Listen to the clues. Learn to recognise signs. They are usually repeated more than once so that you can be more confident to act upon them.
I work with angels in my reiki practice. Or I should say I work for angels and they work through me. I find their energy uplifting and inspiring and their guidance is always gentle, respectful and inspiring. I know when guidance comes from them because you can be hearing something really hard to hear yet they do it in such a way that you are glad to hear it and it helps you. Only them can work that sort of magic.
