Letting out the beautiful you

Please note that I am currently working on a very exciting development concerning the slimming aspect of my work. My new book "Journey of the Slim Soul" is available on a new website www.journeyoftheslimsoul.com. The book comes with a companion CD, so if you want the book, do not purchase the CD on this website.

Our next workshop is on Monday 11th January 2010 to explain to you the philosophy of the Journey of the Slim Soul but also to work on deep emotional issues surrounding food and body shape. The workshop will include a book and CD: investment £50. We also meet every Monday evening at 6 pm in Almondsbury, at a price of £5 per class.

The issue is self love

I find that most people who are overweight, whether physically or in their heads, have huge issues of self-love and a lot of stress in their lives. It is not so much that their bodies are not the right size, it is a fundamental lack of self acceptance. Maybe you have been raised by a mother who was obsessive about her figure, or maybe she was so unavailable emotionally that your only refuge was in food, maybe you were different and felt rejected by your peers... or maybe you were very sensitive and food helped you to cope with it.

"Out" with the dieting

In dieting I hear the word "die". No amount of dieting will ever put your weight right. I much prefer the expression "healthy eating". So why not stop dieting right now? What you need is to nourish your soul and start loving yourself right now and get over your sugar cravings (if that's your downfall). Easier said than done? Well I have been there, and although that is not enough in itself, I can help you along the way by loving you the way you are and showing you how you are seen in the eyes of spirit. I often say to my clients, I am here to tell you how your guardian angel sees you, sees in you. And that will help you shine your beauty from within and release you from your prison. This revelation often brings tears to the eyes of my clients. We are usually so hard on ourselves.

"In" with the healthy eating

In 2006-07, I lost two stones (14 kg) without ever feeling deprived. I have managed to maintain my weight since and I feel ok with myself. How did I do that? First I joined a slimming club. The very first thing that the consultant said to me was "you don't eat enough". This was a revelation. Since then, I have learnt a lot about nutrition. I have always felt the need to restrain my food intake but as a result was always feeling deprived and constantly felt hungry. And that ended usually by my buying a chocolate bar when I felt too low.

Once I learnt which food to eat to help with the slimming (and that included carbohydrates), the more I ate, the more I could relax around food, the more I lost weight. With the weight loss came the confidence, the self love, better energy levels and so on. My skin was smoother, my double chin disappeared. I no longer cried when I looked at myself in the mirror. It was a truly transforming experience.

But joining a club or seeing a nutritionist isn't always enough because you need the motivation, the determination and you need to learn to love yourself. That's where hypnotherapy can help. I specialise in weight loss and I have designed a perfect hypnotherapy CD for this. With the CD and some sound structure on how to eat (I can help), you cannot fail.  This can be your first step to feeling beautiful.

Find other ways to protect yourself

To be successful in freeing the beauty in you, you need to understand what it is that makes you overeat. You need to look into your psychological issues.

I find that most overweight people are very sensitive. They actually need the weight to protect themselves from the bombardment of aggressiveness that surrounds them. It's almost like a life saver and they feel they cannot function without the protection that their weight gives them. It can start with nasty comments in school, and will continue once you become a big person. You might have felt and still feel rejected or that you don't fit. Weight might protect you in the short term but it puts your life on hold.

Don't let these feelings make you behave in a self destructive manner. Don't numb your feelings. Learn to manage your feelings and emotions so that they don't harm you. Don't drawn that sadness in layers of chocolate, peanuts, ice cream, cheese or whatever it is that you use to make you feel better. You are the only one that suffers from it. All you are doing is putting your vibrant soul to sleep and sink into depression. This doesn't have to be. And then the more overweight you become, the more depressed you are, the lower your self esteem.

Step out of the vicious circle of eating to cover up self hate. Start loving yourself. Become your own priority. You can start doing that by listening to my specially designed hypnotherapy CD for slimming in joy. You can upload my brochure here. When you print make sure you print one page after the other and that you use both sides of the paper. Or make an appointment with me by calling 07914 606729.
